It is recommended that you visit your dentist for a check-up and cleaning at least every six months. This allows your dentist to monitor your oral health, identify any potential issues early on, and provide you with a professional cleaning to remove any plaque or tartar buildup that cannot be removed through brushing and flossing alone. Your dentist may recommend more frequent visits if you have certain risk factors, such as a history of gum disease or if you are a smoker. Ultimately, it is important to discuss your individual oral health needs with your dentist to determine the ideal frequency of visits for you.
